Whirligig Of Time

A mystery or a myth?
Or the greatest enemy of man?
It acts like a sword
If you act not so quick and wise
It annihilates you there and then
And dumps you in gloom

Altho' always victorious
But utilized to utmost gains
Time...
Let me achieve a set of goals
And become assumed victor
Before you take your slightest chance
And dump me in doom

At Last

It's the final
It's serious
Yet tough
Attempts collides
For eighteen is inaccessible
So the going gets tough
As the tough gets going
Tension arises
Veins shrink
So blood hardly flow
All hope in doubt
It had happened before
But will it happen again?
Then the whistle blows
And all becomes
Demoralized
Of the difficult option
As the last resort
Tension yet again
Predictions
Hisses
And confusion
Then suddenly
The air of life
Blows in
As one goes its way
Two gets blocked
And three entered

Because I'm a woman

I am a wife and a mother
A sister and a daughter
With heap of unfair duties to shoulder
Because I'm a woman

Age is but a number
Applicable not to me
Because I'm finished
As soon as it descends on me
Because I'm a woman

I stay at home
To keep the bed warm
Reproduce nurse and feed
Take the blame of bad products
Denied the credit of good products
Because I'm a woman

I'm made a punch bag
But sticks like a magnet
To a slavery matrimony
For the sake of my offspring
Because I'm a woman

My home must stand
Whether built on solid or liquid
Whichever is entirely my business
Because I'm a woman

I yearn for paradise
By taking instructions and orders
For it lies beneath my home
Yes a total worship
Because I'm a woman

I'm the weaker sexv
Monogamous in nature
Created to make Adam a man
Yet the founder of evil
Because I'm a woman

Winds of Destiny

I

Turn me
Up and down
Carelessly
Vindictively
Like an angry thunderstorm

Can't you see
My dreams are endless
And useless

I surrender
Winds of destiny
Toss me as you wish
Drop me where you want

II

Here you come
Again
Rolling me
Like a wheel
Across tough huddles
To another promised land
As if playing the games of life

My hands are spread
You can lift me
Like a paper
To any where
You feel I belonged

AIDS is death

When death
Comes to you
Face to face
And you're truly convinced
You would soon be gone
Then in your conscience
Your heart dangles
For you knows not
Whether heaven or hell
Your deeds has fetched you

When fear and agony
Shrinks you
Gradually
And on the faces
Of your loved ones
It's so glaring
That death beckons you
For you're crippled
In the middle
Of your dreams

Then you'll know
AIDS is death

In the hands of poverty

In the morning
They dart about in their untidy pot-holed street Where trash lived like mountains with them Just beside their rooms little smoke hustles upwards By its side a bony ragged woman cooking While her skinny little kid Pee beside her

In the afternoon
The women nurses their countless kids
In their houses that?s like that of a mad man Made of fragile blocks and heat reflecting zincs And houses a few utensils And a mat

At night
Under the moonlight
Kids run after one another
Their foots bare and hair unkempt
The woman serves the usual unbalanced diet meal If any Or else they sit in their domains Gazing with sealed lips unto The glittering stars

In the hands of poverty
Their today is dead
And their future
Buried

Back to Legend

The knock of death

As I set my eyes on a grave yard
My heart leaps with the speed of light
The thought of death makes my spirit high For it punches one on the face so hard

It is frightful to see people breath their last When wrapped in the cold arms of death For all living soul shall test death When the time comes, it happens so fast

We desire to live even when things are wrong The hope of getting things right keeps us going Not minding how wrong are some things we are doing The fear of death makes us brave and strong

We desire to own big cars and homes
We go any length to get power and money
For these are the things that makes life as sweet as honey Forgetting that beneath the soil would someday be home

Death is a better pill we all shall someday swallow And the graveyard is home for the rich and poor It is home for both the able and disabled Only few are lucky to leave behind a shadow

So live each of your days as if it?s your last For each breath you take move you closer to your grave Death is stronger than the wise and the brave Whatever is worth doing do it fast
