When it happens

When it happens
This poem won’t only fetch me an OBE,
But will make the queen
Vacate her throne for me

Trees won’t only on their branches
Stand, but will catwalk
Like models do
On a stage

When it happens
Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse
Won’t only be best of friends
But will get married tonight

And you will come and tell me
You’ve seen snow flakes sailing down gently
At noon,
In a Kalahari Desert.

Back to Legend

You

The smile
Your radiant face flashes
Makes my heart feel like
Jumping out of its cage to embrace it

The words of wisdom
Your soothing voice
To my ears
Brightens my soul

And the kindness of your being
Dapples on me
Like the moon does to the earth
In the middle of the night

Back to Legend

It´s time....

Its time to relive the pen
To dance on a golden paper
And scribble silvery verses

Its time to descend
On a blank canvass
And sketch a new life

Its time to put that thing
Light years away
From the mind eye

Back to Legend

Another dawn

Another dawn breaks
Tugging the moon and its siblings
In bed

Another dawn breaks
Unveiling what the night
Has concealed

Another dawn breaks
Liberating the cool breeze
For us to embrace

Another dawn breaks
Giving the sun a license
To shower it warm light on us

Another dawn break
Opening yet another page
Of hustles and bustles

Back to Legend

Tell the poetess...

Tell the poetess
That when the ship sets sail
Halts only at the dock

Tell the poetess
That the snail cannot compete
With the rabbit in a ‘life meter dash’

Tell the poetess
That zamboic poems
Are aprons to stubborn bards

Back to Legend

Still in mind

It’s exactly
Half a decade
When you left us
And followed nature’s inevitable routine

Your demise
Seemed more like hallucination
But it wasn’t
It’s real so dispiriting

Our deserted souls weep profusely,
With burning tears
Heart heavy, crammed with tons of agony
For the loss of a gentle and caring grandpa

You are gone
But still in mind
‘Cos the life you live was full of promise
And the love you tendered will forever be cherished

May you rest in peace
And forever remain
In the warm embrace
Of Al-jannat Al-Firdaus

Back to Legend

Another storm

It stormed again
And made life miserable
Once more
I saw it
Thrusting happiness
Out of the mind
Forcing laughter
To drift away from the lips
I also saw it
Chaining hearts in grief
And made poor souls
Woebegone

Back to Legend

Another blow

It blow,
Stronger this time
And uprooted his soul
Making our hearts
Wallow in the gloomy land
Of agony
And our eyes
Cascade rivers of hot tears

Back to Legend

Anguish

I thought
It will be like a gushing spring,
Capable of quenching the aged long thirst

Or warm and comforting
Like a thick sweater
On snowy day

I thought it will disguise it self
As a good mother ,
Loving and caring

But it appeared
To be
More dubious
Like mice

Back to Legend

But...

If I were cloud
The soil
Would’ve been craving for my drops

If I were ant hill
Ants
Would’ve been perambulating on me

If I were green grass
Animals
Would’ve been gazing on me

If I were beautiful garden
I would’ve been
An avenue of relaxation

But being a kindergarten
In the school of poetry
Makes them shun my poems
